My Community Outreach

REFLECTION:

Our community outreach happened last December 12, 2017, it was on the 2nd day of foundation week of the school. It was a yearly tradition of Supreme Student Government every Christmas since that become the SSG Adviser 5 years ago, that they will going have a “Pamaskong Handog para sa Bernardino” wherein they will ask the adviser of all sections from grade 7 to grade 12 to choose at least one or two students in his/ her section that he/she wanted to give a Noche Buena package because of lack of money to buy foods for Christmas.

I help the other SSG officer to pack the Noche Buena Package for the chosen student. I was the one who pack the rice in the plastic bag. Each plastic bag consists of meat loaf, pasta, spaghetti sauce, juice, coffee, milk, cheese, canned goods and so on. When their names have been called, you can see in their eyes how happy they were because of that I feel very glad that I’m part of this outreach, there’s part of my mind saying that when I have a job, I will be going to share it to others specially to those who needs because of this simple gift you can make many people happy. I can’t forget the moment that a boy went to the office and say that “thank you so much its really big help for us”, when I hear that I really want to cry, it’s a small thing for us but for them it’s like a precious thing. The Photo that I only have was the photo of me packing the rice for the bags, and I don’t have a photo of the selected students receiving their gifts because I’m busy arranging the other gift for the raffle.
